Introduction
The Master in European Construction Engineering is a postgraduate full-time one year course organised by eight European Universities from Spain, Denmark, Portugal, Italy, Germany and France who have agreed to contribute towards its development and operation. It extends the provision of the existing course, which commenced in October 1991.

Moreover, this is an
official programme of the University of Cantabria, which has been recognised through resolution of the Provincial Government on 16 February 2006 as official programme. This means that the student will have an official recognition of 60 ECTS, which could allow him to study a doctorate if he has 300 ECTS in total.

During the course the student will spend periods of
residence and study in at least two European countries.

On successful completion of the programme students are entitled to the
award of the Master in European Construction Engineering. All the participating Universities award the Master's Degree jointly.

Graduates receive a
certificate signed by the rectors and registrars of all the participating universities. At the same time, graduates from the Master will receive the diploma issued by the University of Cantabria, as one of its official studies, ratified by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

There are good
career prospects for graduates from this course whose sites are set on European mobility. A range of opportunities exists for further career development.
